Performance Doesn’t Matter- Appeal – 3rd Hearing
Friday 4th May, 20:00/00:00, Fire Station social Centre, Whitgift street SE11
This is an open platform that does not intend to curate or present a specific type of work or artists.
Whether you want to research, explore and/or play in the space, or present a piece of work you have ready please come along. Whatever you want to do.
The Fire Station Social Centre is an immense place that allows for endless possibilities and development of work in an amazing space. There are no allocated spaces or time slots, the idea is that you arrive in the space and do what you want when you want and where you want. The idea of Performance Doesn’t Matter is an experiment in itself and whoever comes along, to perform and/or watch, makes it what it is.
The 4for4 collective (Andre, Ludo, Barkosina, Federico) present: ‘The Birth’
Inspired by a very ancient story, The Birth explores and subverts one of the most celebrated single moments in human history: the birth of Jesus. From fiction to reality lays a very thin line. Crossing this line back and forward, with satire, nonsense and a dash of surrealism, the performance unfolds the untold truth…or is it fiction?
